A 36V 42V 35A 10S li-ion Battery Management System with Balanced Charge.Separate charge and discharge ports.Note: In keeping with all MOSFET switched BMS modules, this may arrive "Activated" or activate during pack build giving 0V across load terminals. 42V across the charge terminals will reset.Note: If you anticipate continuous 35A operation, additional ventilation and heat-sinks may be required.Over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and short-circuit protection, balanced charging and SEPARATE CHARGE AND DISCHARGE PORTS.One side is covered by an aluminium heatsink for the FETs, the other side has a layer of barley paper.Balance current of 55mA. Ensure you use matched cells when building your battery (Chemistry, State of Charge and Internal Resistance) to get the best performance.Comes with JST connector loom. Any questions about applications or pack build, contact me via eBay messaging.SPECS:

IMPORTANT: You should only consider purchasing this Battery Management System (BMS) if you have electronics experience AND know how BMSs operate and how they should be installed. Many BMSs have been returned as defective (at my expense) when it's clear they have been incorrectly connected to a battery which has destroyed one or more FETs or the controller itself. BMSs are tested at the factory and before they leave my workshop.THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES ARE INADEQUATE ESD (ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE) PROTECTION WHEN HANDLING THE BMS AND INCORRECT WIRING (HOWEVER TEMPORARY). For those familiar with BMS and Battery Assembly, you will recall that you should never spot-weld to the BMS terminals. Further, any spot-welded battery connections to the BMS should be completed battery-side before soldering the other end to the BMS.Ensure that you connect the sense loom to the battery's cell terminals in the correct voltage sequence. Check that the voltage increases in the expected order on the JST female connector (black + first red, black + second red, etc.) BEFORE plugging it into the male connector on the BMS board. When connecting to your battery, the B-ve line should be connected first and then the voltage monitoring sense loom. The very last step is to connect charge/discharge lines. If you want to uninstall the BMS, the order should be reversed. BMS connection order is important or it will irreparably damage the BMS. If you have no voltage at the BMS load terminals, then check your wiring and check again. If the wiring is not the issue, then it's likely that you've tripped under-voltage detection; connect a charger of the correct voltage to the BMS. If there is still no voltage from the BMS and you're sure your wiring and battery are ok, then the BMS is damaged.Furthermore, if you see the BMS cutting the load or charge before expected (ie before the battery has fallen or risen to overall cut-off voltage for discharge or charge) then your first step is to look for a cell or parallel group of cells exhibiting a divergent voltage. Trying to spot the defective cell(s) is difficult because as soon as the load is cut or the charger removed, cell voltage rises or falls instantly. It requires real-time monitoring to diagnose cell defects. If you are using a balancing BMS, realise that it can only address minor voltage discrepencies. Cells with a higher or lower internal resistance can also cause the BMS to trip on charge or discharge prematurely. Always use the same cells in your battery packs and assemble the battery with the cells at the same voltage with matched internal resistances. BMSs are very simple devices. Li-ion cell chemistry is complex. If you have a problem, check your battery and cell characteristics first.
