Description:
This is a breakout board for QMC5883L (HMC5883L variant), a 3-axis digital compass. Communication between the QMC5883L and your micro-controller (a PIC, ARM, AVR or Arduino) is made simple through the I2C interface. It is designed to measure the direction and magnitude of the Earth's magnetic fields - up to 8 Gauss. There is a 3.3V Low Dropout (LDO) voltage Regulator.
The breakout board includes the QMC5883L sensor and all filtering capacitors as shown. The power and 2-wire interface pins are all broken out to a 0.1″ pitch header.
Easily accessible via the I2C interface with several Arduino libraries.
