WeMos D1 Mini V2 Compatible and Shields

These boards are one of the easiest way to build and prototype with the popular ESP8266 Wifi Micro-controllers. These would be very suitable in an educational or tutorial environment, as the shields can be re-configured without any soldering required, but also can be very effectively used as a flexible sensor system. The shields are provided with stackable female, normal female and male headers loose, so you can choose how to use these items. The stackable female headers are the most commonly used, and allow the board and shields to be vertically stacked - or in two vertical stacks if the dual base board is on the bottom.

Orders received before 2pm on normal weekdays will be posted the same day.

The Arduino IDE will need to have the ESP8266 added to the board Manager if you wish to program the ESP8266 boards. Simple instructions for this can be found by searching for "ESP8266 Arduino".

The ESP32 board also requires a library to be installled, please search for "ESP32 Arduino IDE".

Drivers are required for the USB interface on the processor boards:

The D1 Mini boards use a CH340G USB to serial chip, a commonly used device. Drivers for this chip are freely available online. Ebay does not allow us to include links to documentation or drivers on our listings, but searching for "CH340G USB driver" should lead to suitable drivers. A driver should not be required on Linux systems.

The D1 Mini Pro and the ESP32 board use either a CP2102 or CP2104 chip for the USB to serial conversion. Drivers are required for most operating systems, but are freely available, search for "CP210x USB Drivers"
